Hi, Rudy

you have to use modded bios, of course, w/o white list or with avoiding that. I hope you'll find that modded bios, v.1.26 at least (8duj15).

I saw your question on Lenovo' forum and answered

Thanks for answer, right now install BIOS 1.35 + "remove whitelist" and de X220t found the card, the problem is, how to install and support sim card? I mean...

When install only the card, the system recognizes all, the wifi works, but i can not connect to sim 3g. Moreover, with card with support for sim, the system recognizes the 3G network, GPS, WIFI everything but for some reason the system does not recognize the wifi card inside.

That configuration was used for the photo? operating system, BIOS, all please, I ride my machine's take

Regarding the Forum, I have privileges to post or search
My system is Lenovo X220t, HHD Intel mSATA, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

thanks

I've posted a big post about my experience with laptop, that modem, sim card, sw etc on ixbt forum. Of, course, in Russian.
So, as you have some difficulties to read that thread (I assume) there are the answers for your questions below.

1. wifi capabilities of this modem isn't accessible in wwan slot as wifi needs the full pci-e wires.

2. In order to use sim card with wwan modem fitted in wlan slot you have to add new sim card reader adapter or seal the wires from the built-in adapter under the batt to wlan mini pci-e adapter (connector). As you see on current photo I used new adapter like this one http://www.hwtools.net/PDF/KZ-B15_brief.pdf. You can find the same one on ebay, for example.

3. You see red-white sim card over the modem on my photo. So in order to insert/remove that you have to remove keyboard and palmrest. I did it only while installing modem and sim card last year and forgout about sim card. It's not a problem for me.

4. In order to make 3g connection via modem in wlan slot you have to use 3rd party connection manager since built-in Windows network connection service can't do that. As well as Lenovo Connection Manager exept of you'll make 3g connection profile for modem in wwan slot and use it with modem in wlan slot. In this case you can work using AC. I tested several tools, including Option uCanConnect manager and WebToGo OneClick Internet (from the Web or Sony ftp site). The 1st one (not up-to date version) supports Option modems natively, is a bit heavy to use. So IMHO OneClick is the best choice.

5. Another one difficulty (possibly) is to control GPS feature in modem (power on/off). There is a chance you'll have to use one more tool for that. :)

thank you very much for your time

1. - You can sendme the link of the post? for some reason the system does not accept searches (either be new user)

2. - Then, I understand that you can not use the wifi if you use the wan? the idea is to use the wifi at home and outside use wwan but without disassembling the notebook when to enter or not the card..

3. - If the sim holder flex I have, in fact buy it on ebay when I saw your photo.

thanks friend...

1. there is a link, http://forum.ixbt.com/topic.cgi?id=17:43529-2#10. Also, look at the posts below my post.

2. wifi works, why not? Just install proper drivers from wifi chip manufacturer Atheros. You do not need any manipulation for switching the modem between the slots, just work as usually and enjoy.

I didn't test the card as hot spot for 3g internet sharing via wifi as I don't need it. But I don't see any restrictions for that.
